National Veterinary Associates in Orleans, France is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support the entire veterinary team. You will assist with patient care, help monitor hospitalized pets, restrain animals during procedures, and aid with radiographs in a busy small-animal practice focused on compassionate care.

The role involves lifting up to 40 lbs, standing for long periods, and collaborating with veterinarians, technicians, and staff.

Qualifications

  • Must be a self-starter, able to multitask and a team player.
  • Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.
  • Prefer 1+ years of experience, but not required.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own.
  • Walking or standing for extended periods of time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position.
  • Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.

The veterinary assistant is the entire team's primary support. Every department relies on their significant role in aiding with a variety of services to provide excellent client and patient care. Our Veterinary Assistants work independently as well as with the veterinarians and technicians to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. We are a busy small animal practice focused on treating our patients like they are our own family.

Part time and full time work available.
Shifts will range from mornings, evenings and Saturdays.
