Job summary

Energy Jobline ATTB is seeking an attorney to join a civil litigation defense team in Southern California. You will manage litigation matters from initial client contact through trial, collaborating with a small, trial-focused team and gaining hands-on courtroom experience.

The ideal candidate is admitted to the bar, demonstrates strong litigation, research, and writing skills, and can handle a caseload with autonomy. Prior civil defense or insurance defense experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active bar admission in the relevant state.
• Strong litigation, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload with real ownership and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Handle civil litigation matters independently, from case assessment through resolution.
• Take depositions, argue motions, and appear in court regularly.
• Work on premises liability, insurance defense, employment litigation, and/or public entity law.
• Communicate directly with clients, including insurers and institutional clients.
