We are looking for a Trade Marketing Specialist

to join our Suunto Sales & Marketing team in France. The location of this position will be in Paris or Rhône Alpes areas.

The Role

The trade marketing specialist will support the local marketing activities in France, Belgium, Netherlands, based on Suunto global & EMEA strategy & sales targets. As Trade Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing the local trade marketing activities, aligning the plans with the global marketing strategy as well as the EMEA sales & marketing strategy. The support will focus – but will not be limited – to all trade marketing activities online & offline. The role will strengthen the trade marketing activities in the region, hence support the sales ambitions & targets.

Main responsibilities
  • Build JMP (Joint Marketing Plan) together with Suunto sales team and local retailers that support the business ambitions. Build, plan, execute, track and report the JMP’s for the top customers in the region.
  • Implement and manage online and offline trade marketing activities, including point-of-sale materials, in-line product campaigns, commercial campaigns and any other campaigns supporting the strategy like trade shows and any other customer events.
  • Campaign Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to adapt global campaigns for local markets, ensuring consistency and cultural relevance.
  • Support the local sales team in improving and ensuring excellent brand visibility and excellence at retail/etail level, both online and offline: retailer websites, stores, corners, events, etc.
  • Provide marketing tools: Provide marketing support to key retail partners, including content creation, toolkits creation, merchandising, and event coordination.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of local trade marketing activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor trade marketing budget and actions all throughout the year and in consistency with the sales revenue.
  • Support and participate in any local events when needed, either B2B or B2C events.
  • Be open to supporting the team on other topics whenever it is needed.
To succeed, you should exhibit the following skills and qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and trade initiatives.
  • Fluent in French and English (the company language is English).
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel and work flexible hours (weekends/evenings).
  • Strong understanding of the marketing funnel and objectives of marketing activities & strategic marketing thinking.
  • Sales-oriented mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Strong interest in learning and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of the sports/outdoor market, distribution, and competitive landscape.
