Job summary

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group's VStar Touring is seeking an Assistant Wardrobe for the Paw Patrol Live! A Mighty Adventure tour. You will support the Head Wardrobe with costumes, fittings, laundry, and organization, while helping deck crew with changes and show presets.

The role requires sewing knowledge, comfort with backstage environments, and the ability to work irregular hours across multiple venues. Touring experience and English fluency are valued.

Qualifications

• Related experience in wardrobe for live performances.
• Knowledge of sewing machines and their uses.
• Ability to hand sew.
• Fine motor skills.
• Experience as a dresser in backstage settings with flying elements.
• Understanding of fabrics and laundry needs.
• Basic understanding of theatrical terms and directions.
• Ability to navigate a crowded backstage area during load ins/performances.
• Ability to perform arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Willingness to work irregular hours including nights and holidays.
• Touring experience appreciated but not required.
• Active IATSE union member or willingness to join.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work with Cirque du Soleil group.
• Able to pass background check as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist head wardrobe and local crews in constructing wardrobe elements for live performances.
• Learn cue track and quick-change duties and participate in cue rotations.
• Troubleshoot wardrobe elements during performances.
• Train local venue crews in backstage deck track for wardrobe operations.
• Organize and maintain laundry of wardrobe assets.
• Assist with fittings and alterations.
• Support wardrobe assets involved with publicity engagements and VIP experiences.
• Preserve the artistic integrity of costumes and makeup.
• Prioritize safety and comfort of performers regarding costumes.
• Participate in special wardrobe projects and interdepartmental work.
• Direct local crews during load in and load out.
• Load/unload trailers and show assets.
• Assemble and disassemble wardrobe equipment.
• Maintain flexible schedule for calls, events, rehearsals, and shows.
• Coordinate with other departments for rehearsals and shows.
• Manage inventory of wardrobe supplies.
• Create and update cue sheets and show documentation.
• Ensure proper documentation of wardrobe systems and procedures.
• Develop preventative maintenance routines including safety.
• Adhere to OSHA safety and company policies.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by department head.
