Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in electrical engineering, communications technology, optics, or related fields.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems.
  • Understanding of high-speed communication link challenges.
  • Proficient in digital signal processing, electrical engineering, and data acquisition.
  • Experience with lab work and system-level testing.
  • Good English; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsabilités

  • Research and innovate in space-to-ground and space-to-space laser communication links.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the communication link and its high-speed data challenges.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and implement adjustments to improve performance.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans for validating link improvements.
  • Identify and address issues during research and test phases, optics or baseband related.
  • Share expertise to apply research findings to practical applications.

Role overview
  • Researchand innovate in the development of space-to-ground and space-to-spacelaser communication links
  • Demonstratea comprehensive understanding of the entire communication link and itschallenges regarding high speed data and analog/digital processing
  • Conductin-depth analysis and implement necessary adjustments to improve overallperformance
  • Developcomprehensive test plans for validating improvements in the link setup
  • Proactivelyidentify and address any issues that arise during research and testphases whether optics or baseband related
  • Shareyour expertise to contribute collaboratively, applying research findingsto practical applications
Must have
  • MScor PhD in electrical engineering, communications technology, optics, orother relevant disciplines
  • Alreadyhad 1st experience in similar position
  • Solidknowledge of telecommunications systems
  • Understandingof the challenges of high speed communications links
  • Skillfulin digital signal processing, electrical engineering, data acquisition
  • Experiencewith lab work and system level testing methodologies
  • Abilityto diagnose and debug test setupsStronginterest in gaining understanding of optical communication links
  • Excellentverbal and written skills to interact with the project members and teamsof different expertise
  • Good English knowledge
