Propellerhead is seeking a Technical Strategist to deliver resilient software systems in Auckland, New Zealand. The role collaborates with Product Owners to plan roadmaps and shape architecture across a portfolio of platforms.

You will lead design, ensure early delivery, and apply engineering standards in client contexts within a hybrid work model. You’ll bring hands-on software development background across C#, React, and other languages, plus Azure design and CI/CD experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with multi-tier and distributed applications.
• Proficiency with React UIs and services in C#, plus familiarity with Typescript, Java, Go and Rust.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical solutions with business needs.
• Hands-on experience with designing Azure-based solutions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with streaming/messaging platforms like Kafka or NATS is desirable.
• Leadership in designing complex software for corporate enterprise contexts.

Responsabilités

• Develop, review and communicate solution architecture with Development teams and Engineering.
• Champion Propellerhead's technical strategy and align designs with it.
• Build trusted relationships with client decision-makers and explain designs to technologists.
• Serve as the go-to technical expert for client solutions and support delivery improvements.
• Drive quality measures including security, reliability, performance and maintainability.
• Evolve codebase from C# to Rust and promote AI-assisted requirements, testing and code generation.
