Job summary

Qonto is seeking a Team Lead, Sanctions Screening in Paris to lead a six-person financial crime team, ensuring timely processing of sanctions alerts with high-quality decisions. You will shape operating rigor within the sanctions function and participate in migration and AI-driven optimization projects.

The role requires 5+ years in AML/compliance, at least 1 year in leadership, and native French with fluent English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AML, Anti-Financial Crime, or Compliance
• At least 1 year in a leadership role
• Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop team members
• Strong analytical mind for complex data and investigations
• Deep understanding of AML/CFT regulations and reporting requirements
• Ability to collaborate across multicultural teams
• Native French and fluent English language skills

Responsibilities

• Manage a production team's backlog and alert volumes, ensuring deadlines are met
• Prioritize daily workload across the team and adjust to avoid bottlenecks
• Run team rituals and weekly one-to-ones for direction and cohesion
• Produce regular reporting on alert volumes, backlog, and screening incidents
• Contribute feedback to migration and optimization projects, including AI integration
• Collaborate with AML/Fraud teams to ensure alignment
• Oversee investigation of escalations from the transaction monitoring team
