emlyon business school invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Associate/Full Professor level, teaching track, or Professor of Practice, to begin in September 2027. The role emphasizes action learning, experiential education, and real-world project-based teaching, with potential involvement in the QUANT Research Centre.

Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching on the Lyon campus, with some sessions on other emlyon

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or Statistics or related discipline.
• Experience in project-based pedagogy, live business cases, corporate challenges, or learning-by-doing models.
• Strong connections with business or institutional partners.
• Ability to design and coordinate courses with a high level of engagement and applied learning.
• Willingness to contribute to the strategic positioning of action learning within the school.
• Still contributing with intellectual contributions and academic publications.

Responsabilités

• The development and delivery of innovative, action-based learning experiences, closely tied to the professional ecosystem (corporates, startups, NGOs, etc.).
• And (if applicable) cutting-edge research in their area of expertise.
• Teaching undergraduate, graduate, and master's level programs with courses primarily on the Lyon campus, delivered in French and English to an international cohort.
