Job summary

Heniff Transportation Systems is seeking a Tank Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractors and trailers in compliance with DOT and company standards. Weld repairs and electrical/hydraulic work may be required.

The role includes diagnosing issues, performing 90-day inspections, and maintaining safety in a busy shop environment. Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle systems.
• Ability to inspect tanks and trailers per DOT standards.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and component repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tanks and trailers as needed.
• Perform 90-day inspections to meet FHWA standards.
• Inspect cargo tanks for internal/external issues and tests.
• Determine mechanical condition and initiate repairs.
• Repair components by replacing worn parts and assemblies.
• Annotate maintenance in software and operate yard equipment.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform welding repairs as needed.
