Thales Group in Toulouse is seeking a senior systems architect to define and recommend architectures that align with standards, reuse policies, technology roadmaps, and company strategy. You will produce architecture documentation, validate system design, and support the development cycle while leading co-engineering efforts and technical negotiations with stakeholders.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and client engagement, with experience in MBSE and modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering (Bac+5) or equivalent.
• Solid experience in systems architecture and systems engineering.
• Experience with integration, verification, validation, qualification (IVVQ) and Agile methods.
• Familiarity with Concept, Design, Experimentation and Simulation tools.

Responsabilités

• Define and recommend architectures at the solution or element level to meet stakeholder expectations.
• Produce architecture documentation (rationale, product breakdown, system design) and validate lower-level characteristics.
• Support the solution development cycle and co-engineering approach.
• Manage specifications and interface definitions, and lead technical negotiations with stakeholders.

Overview

Define and recommend architectures at a given level (solution or solution element) to meet stakeholder expectations, in accordance with standards and reuse policies, the technology roadmap, and company strategy. Balance stakeholder expectations with technical and technological solutions, costs, risks, and schedule. Produce associated documentation (architecture rationale in the design and justification file, product breakdown structure, system/segment design document) and validate the resulting lower-level characteristics (internal or external). Support the solution development cycle and define the co-engineering approach. Manage, throughout the project lifecycle, the definition of corresponding-level specifications, oversight of performance assessment and critical parameters, interface definition, and technical negotiations between stakeholders (internal or external). Participate in ECCF Learning Moments to help disseminate Thales Group engineering best practices.

Requirements

• You hold a master's-level engineering degree (Bac+5) or equivalent and have solid experience in systems architecture and systems engineering.
• You are a leader ready to engage and develop your team, promoting collaborative work and stimulating approaches.
• You are responsible, persuasive, enjoy client engagement, and have strong interpersonal skills.
• You are familiar with Concept, Design, Experimentation and Simulation tools, as well as modeling tools (such as MBSE).
• You have experience with integration, verification, validation, qualification (IVVQ), and Agile methods.
