About the job

Pacific International has partnered with a global leader in chemical manufacturing to support their transformation and innovation goals. This international business has a strong international presence and a commitment to development through sustainable innovation.

As the Regional Supply Chain Director, based near Lyon you will oversee supply chain operations across Europe, while aligning with global standards. You will drive process optimisation, efficiency and foster a culture of operational excellence. As a team leader you will be expected to develop your team, create a culture of continuous improvement and process ownership across logistics, planning and other supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and Innovating Processes: Constantly assesses processes and take the initiative to drive new operating models and system innovation
  • Create Outstanding Value Through Customer Experience: Be the primary point of contact to the EU commercial & operations team, developing close relationships with customers.
  • Operations Scheduling & Procurement: Providing direction and leadership to the Procurement team and all Vendor Managed Inventory & customer consignment relationships that support the EU Commercial strategy.
  • Improving Logistics Processes and Costs: Leading the Logistics team to optimize transportation rates, load capacity %, and route optimization, developing and tracking rolling productivity projects.
  • Developing Talent: Ensuring strong accountability and development opportunities, develop talent to take ownership of processes across the functions.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Supply Chain Expertise: 10+ years managing supply chain, logistics, customer service processes and procurement.
  • Strong, collaborative leadership skills: working across regional supply chain teams, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Execution & Change Management: Highly execution-focused with demonstrated rigor in driving results, pro-active, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues before escalation
  • Process, Systems & Methodologies: strong working knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies and SAP.
