Job Description

Safran Electrical and Power is looking for a Supplier Performance Manager located in Niort (Creteil also possible), in charge of a panel of production suppliers. The position reports to the SPM Leader for Power division.

The essence of the SPM mission is to protect our Operations through upstream Supplier surveillance, de‑risking plan and mitigation actions at supplier site. The SPM will drive the operational performance of a panel of production suppliers.

As an SPM, the candidate will:

  • Manage the governance of the Operational Performance (Logistics & Quality) of its panel of suppliers by ensuring the core interface (internal/external) on all related topics
  • Organize the Performance Reviews with its suppliers, gathering the Key Performance Indicators and the several internal inputs (SQAs, Buyers, Supply Chains, Industrialization leaders…)
  • Contribute to the SPM Surveillance Plan construction and ensure its deployment through different supplier's assessments (Rate/Readiness or Load & Capacity assessments, Maturity evaluations, Risks analysis, Business Continuity Plan on‑site checks…)
  • Drive the different action plans (external & internal) resulting from the assessments or from improvement plan targeting to maintain or restore operational performances at the supplier: SPM coordinate multi‑functional team action plan.
  • Ensure the indicators consolidation process between SEP and its suppliers and share the resulting monthly scorecard with them
  • Activate supplier escalation process in case of supplier performance non‑performance impacting Safran Supply chain
  • Manage the annual supplier evaluation for next Surveillance Plan preparation
  • Drive Supplier Development initiatives with his key suppliers when needed (example APQP deployment)

In addition the SPM will contribute for his supplier panel to:

  • Define Supplier Development key targets based on business requirements and Manage their flow down and implementation
  • Define the Supplier Surveillance Plan and the Audit schedule
  • Monitor and communicate Supplier performance actions and plans (consolidate risks and mitigation plan, supplier production readiness…)
  • Ensure the reporting to each division and corporate management

Performance Indicators :

  • Supplier performance KPIs & improvements (Logistics & Quality)
  • Service rate to SEP sites and action plan success to avoid impacts
  • Risk assessment rituals and mitigation plans efficiency
  • Surveillance Plan execution progress & efficiency
  • Supplier maturity improvements
  • Internal customer satisfaction on reporting action plan (including crisis management)
Job Requirements

Hard skills:

  • More than 5 years operational experience within Supply Chain, Purchasing or Industrial
  • Experienced or Graduated in mechanics and/or manufacturing processes
  • Supply Chain & Industrial Management general knowledge (MRP2, S&OP and MPS, Capacity Management, Scheduling, Lean manufacturing, Theory of constraints…)
  • Basics in Quality Management knowledge (8D, Ishikawa, 5 whys, PFMEA, Capabilities, SPC…); APQP knowledge will be a plus
  • Microsoft tools, Excel (pivot tables, V-look up), Power-BI
  • SAP & AirSupply knowledge would be a plus
  • English language
