Salomon on the Champs-Élysées in Paris is seeking a Store Director to act as brand ambassador and business owner for a flagship location. You will deliver commercial performance, elevate the in-store brand experience, and build a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team.

Lead the flagship's strategy, P&L, operations, and people development, ensuring excellence in service, storytelling and visual merchandising while aligning with regional and global priorities.

• Senior retail leadership experience, ideally managing 20+ staff.
• Strong business acumen with a commercial focus.
• Passion for top-tier customer service and exceeding targets.
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus.

Job Description

As Store Director for our Flagship Store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, you will act as brand ambassador and business owner for one of Salomon's most important retail locations. You'll be responsible for delivering commercial performance, elevating the in-store brand experience, and building a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the flagship's commercial strategy, driving growth across traffic, conversion, CRM, and community engagement.
• Own the full flagship P&L, balancing commercial growth, profitability, people investment, and customer experience.
• Make the store a true destination for brand experience, ensuring excellence in customer service, storytelling, and visual merchandising.
• Guarantee operational excellence, from inventory management to compliance with health & safety and company policies.
• Recruit, coach, and develop a strong Front of House and Back of House managerial team.
• Build a culture of performance, accountability, and commitment, leading by example on the shop floor.
• Create a leadership pipeline and succession plan for key retail roles.
• Act as the voice of the flagship, sharing market insights with regional and global stakeholders and influencing cross-functional partners.
• Serve as a benchmark and mentor for other store leaders across the market.

Qualifications

You will make a difference if you combine managerial skills with the ability to lead and handle business management:

• Background in premium apparel or outdoor retail brands.
• Significant senior retail leadership experience, ideally managing teams of 20+.
• You're happiest on the shop floor, not behind a desk — you naturally spend more than half your time with your team and customers, wherever the business needs you most.
• Strong business acumen with a clear commercial focus.
• An obsession with best-in-class customer service and a love of exceeding targets.
• High autonomy, comfortable operating in ambiguous or uncertain situations.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage sales associates and influence senior stakeholders alike.
• Strong leadership presence — a confident storyteller and presenter, with situational leadership and emotional intelligence.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a strong plus.
• You are comfortable with digital tools and have a good command of Microsoft Office in general.
