Our software tools enable companies around the world to develop highly innovative electronic products faster and more cost-effectively. Our customers use our tools to push the boundaries of technology and physics to deliver better products in the increasingly complex world of chip, board, and system design.
The Strategic Student Program is our formal internship program globally. You will be mentored by guides and gain invaluable professional experience. At Siemens, SSP interns get access to an international student network and community, career development opportunities with professional growth pathways, comprehensive practical training throughout the program, access to the Siemens Learning Hub and other training materials, and the opportunity to collaborate on exciting projects within a global, diverse team.
Topology-Constrained Curve Deformation Applied to Geometric Data Preparation for Mask Proximity Correction (MPC).
In the field of Electronic Design Automation (EDA), and more specifically Mask Proximity Correction (MPC), recent developments have led to the increased use of curvilinear geometries, moving away from the traditional use of Manhattan-style geometries.
Because these shapes require a much larger number of points when represented as polygons, the industry is increasingly relying on parametric curves for their description.
Biasing is a common geometric transformation used at multiple stages of data preparation. It can be either uniform or non-uniform. When applied to parametric curves, these transformations become significantly more complex and directly impact:
The objective of this internship is to design and prototype different biasing approaches for closed parametric curves while satisfying constraints related to both accuracy and data size.
The internship will be organized into three phases:
1. State-of-the-Art Research
2. Prototype Development
3. Evaluation and Analysis
This 6-month internship is based in Grenoble (38) and starts from January 2027.
