Air Liquide France Industrie is seeking a Junior Buyer to join its European Purchasing organization. The role focuses on analysing new purchase categories, leading cross-functional projects and negotiating with suppliers to optimise costs.

You will support tender launches, implement action plans with European subsidiaries and develop performance dashboards using PowerBI and Excel. English proficiency is essential, with additional languages a plus.

Qualifications

• Final-year internship or equivalent (Bachelor+5) orientation toward procurement.
• Fluent written and spoken English (conversation level); second language a plus.
• Strong affinity for numbers and negotiation skills.
• Experience in project management.
• Excellent analytical and synthesis abilities.
• Proficiency in Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyse new purchase categories to identify synergies at the European level.
• Lead cross‑functional projects on standardisation, design‑to‑cost and Total Cost of Ownership, optimising the cost baseline with the technical team.
• Contribute to the definition of strategic directions for the category.
• Support the launch of tenders, analyse and negotiate with suppliers.
• Implement and monitor action plans with European subsidiaries.
• Develop performance reports and dashboards using PowerBI and Excel.
• Participate in the strategy definition for mature families managed by senior Category Managers and, when appropriate, in annual supplier negotiations.

Qualifications

• Final‑year internship or equivalent (Bachelor +5) with an orientation toward procurement (MAI), a specialised apprenticeship in purchasing, or a specialised master in procurement.
• Fluent written and spoken English (conversation level). Mastery of a second language is a plus.
• Strong affinity for numbers and negotiation skills.
• Experience in project management.
• Excellent analytical and synthesis abilities.
• Proficiency in Office, especially Excel.
