Sanofi is seeking a Staff Strategic Solution Architect to shape architecture for global digital transformation. Location: Gentilly, FR or Paris, FR; Hybrid, permanent, full-time.

You will lead architecture decisions, promote reusable patterns, ensure security and regulatory compliance, and mentor engineers. The role requires 10+ years’ experience in enterprise architecture, strong cloud, API, and security expertise, and fluency in English.

Main responsibilities

• Lead enterprise solution architecture for major business capabilities, digital platforms, and cross-domain initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, Digital strategy, and architecture standards
• Design transversal platforms and reusable digital capabilities used across business verticals, balancing enterprise consistency with domain-specific needs
• Define and communicate digital technology standards, reference architectures, reusable blueprints, and solution patterns that promote simplification, reuse, and delivery acceleration
• Lead architecture decisions for high-impact initiatives, guiding trade-off discussions across scalability, resilience, security, compliance, cost, and maintainability
• Incorporate cybersecurity, data privacy, GxP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements into architecture designs to support compliant and risk-aware solutions
• Evaluate emerging technologies, recommending practical adoption paths that improve business outcomes and the enterprise technology landscape
• Serve as a trusted advisor within the architecture community, mentoring architects and engineers while helping reduce technical debt, improve reuse, and drive enterprise-level outcomes

About you

Experience: 10+ years of experience designing and delivering complex enterprise technology solutions across multiple business domains Proven track record leading enterprise or solution architecture for large-scale digital platforms, business capabilities, or transformation initiatives Experience translating business strategy, product needs, and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and practical end-to-end solution architectures Experience guiding engineering teams from architecture concept through design, implementation, delivery, and adoption in complex or regulated environments Soft skills: Strategic thinker able to navigate ambiguity and translate complex challenges into clear architecture direction aligned with business goals Strong communicator who can explain complex architecture concepts to technical and business stakeholders and build alignment across diverse groups Skilled facilitator able to lead design sessions, architecture reviews, whiteboarding discussions, and decision-making forums Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority while mentoring architects and engineers across the architecture community Technical skills: Deep expertise across multiple technology domains, including cloud architecture, software architecture, security architecture, and enterprise platforms Hands-on engineering experience with the ability to prototype, validate, and challenge solution designs beyond static architecture diagrams Experience designing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native architectures using AWS and Azure Strong understanding of modern software and integration patterns, including APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, REST, GraphQL, messaging, and API management Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management, risk management, secure design, and compliance-by-design practices Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, automation, observability, architecture frameworks, reference architectures, decision records, and architecture roadmaps Education: Bachelors required, Masters preferred Professional certifications in relevant technologies, cloud platforms, or architecture frameworks preferred Languages: Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A fixed salary over 12 months, supplemented by a short-term incentive, as well as a collective variable compensation based on Sanofi Group results. La fourchette salariale pour ce poste est:€76 000,00 - €101 333 Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
