Job summary

Royal Canin seeks an experienced SQA Lead for a 1-year parental leave cover in France. You will own quality systems across a portfolio of raw materials, audits, and supplier qualification, collaborating with sourcing, operations, and R&D to uphold Mars standards.

Holders of a Food Science/chemistry/biology degree with 3+ years in QA/QFS roles and fluent English are encouraged to apply; French language skills are a plus. Travel up to 30% is required; Lead auditor FSSC 22000 is a strong asset.

Qualifications

• Engineer in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or similar field.
• 3+ years in a similar position or technical area (Production, Lean, Q&FS, Laboratory).
• Fluent English required; French appreciated.
• Lead auditor FSSC 22000 accreditation is a strong asset.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge to improve business partnering and leverage external capabilities.
• Be expert of a portfolio of raw materials and suppliers to support stakeholders.
• Ensure quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability of materials.
• Assess supplier capabilities through risk assessments, audits, and qualifications.
• Lead cross-functional teams to guarantee best-in-class risk assessments.
• Drive quality improvements and manage complex issues to minimize impact.
• Represent portfolio and category in critical events or escalations.
• Propose process improvements and expand knowledge of standards.
• Support global SQA and commercial strategy; deploy new materials.
• Maintain supplier relationships and analyze supplier performance.
