Quandela in Massy, a European quantum photonics company, seeks an experimental physicist to stabilize and advance spin-photon cluster-state generation. You will design and operate spin-control experiments with cryogenic charged quantum dots, implementing nanosecond pulse sequences and real-time switching, bridging theory and laboratory practice.

You will collaborate across teams, document results, and contribute to the roadmap toward scalable hardware, leveraging Python for control and data

Qualifications

• PhD-level experimental spin background is required.
• Hands-on optical spin control in cryogenic environments.
• Familiarity with nanosecond timing and synchronization constraints.
• Python for experiment control and data analysis.
• High autonomy and experimental rigor.

Responsabilités

• Build and operate spin-control experiments on charged quantum dots at cryogenic temperatures.
• Implement and refine picosecond pulse shaping and pulse sequences.
• Manipulate spin states using all-optical approaches and applied fields.
• Implement real-time switching of pulse sequences at nanosecond timescales (6–24 ns).
• Ensure proper synchronization between optical pulses and fast electronic control systems.
• Characterize spin–photon emission properties and coherence metrics.
• Identify experimental limitations and propose practical improvements.
• Document results and collaborate with internal teams to transfer findings into hardware.
