Wolf Branch Elementary School seeks an Individual Care Aide to provide one-on-one support to a student with a disability, enabling safe access to the school environment and participation in activities across settings.

The role includes physical, emotional, academic, and behavioral assistance, collaborating with the educational team to promote independence and progress toward IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Hold a paraprofessional letter of approval.
• Able to work with and around children.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Basic first aid knowledge and health procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct, individualized support to a student with disabilities per IEP.
• Assist with physical care tasks to ensure safety and comfort.
• Support participation in academic instruction under teacher direction.
• Supervise during transitions, lunch, and recess to promote inclusion.
• Monitor and document student progress with the teacher and case manager.
• Support behavior plans and collaborate with certified staff.
• Maintain communication with supervising teacher and services team.
• Help student develop independence and self-advocacy skills.
• Contribute to a caring, structured learning environment.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings.
