Job summary

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks a Solution Architect for Fleet Performance and Knowledge Management in Toulouse, to join the Digital - Customer Services team. You will drive the New Case Management portfolio and Resolve Fleet Issues, shaping a next-generation platform with AI, NLP, and graph/vector databases.

The role emphasizes Open-Host Service and Published Language concepts for scalable, cost-efficient systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in digital architecture definition.
• Experience with LAN/DMZ/Cloud backbones including SAP, AWS, GCP, Scaleway, Skywise and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, REST APIs, A2A, MCP and Kafka.
• Experience with Graph Databases or vector databases is a plus for AI-driven platforms.
• Ability to discuss APIs with developers and articulate business value and ROI to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in French at an advanced level and English at negotiation level; familiarity with airline customer activities (MRO/Lessors) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and document robust technical solutions via architecture dossiers translating business needs into deliverables.
• Launch PoCs to explore and validate new technologies (AI, NLP, LLMs) before industrialization.
• Lead technical design using SaaS, COTS integrations, and custom Cloud applications.
• Enforce standards for scalable and secure architecture aligned with API and Event-Driven strategies.
• Participate in all phases of the end-to-end application lifecycle, including research, design, development, testing and support.

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Solution Architect - Fleet Performance and Knowlegde Management (f/m) to join our Digital - Customer Services department based in Toulouse, France.

You will part of a team of 12 people and be a key player in the New Case Management (NCM) portfolio and the Resolve Fleet Issues process.

We are building a next-generation platform leveraging Artificial Intelligence (NLP, LLMs), Graph Databases, and Vector Databases for advanced similarity search. We enforce strong architectural concepts like Open-Host Service (OHS) and Published Language (PL) to protect our core systems, ensure cost-efficiency, and master our scalability.

Working closely with transversal and Product Architects, Project Managers, and Business Analysts, you are the technical owner of the Product's infrastructure, you define the rules of the game

Your challenges:

• Design and document robust technical solutions via architecture dossiers to translate business needs into functional deliverables.
• Explore and innovate by launching Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to explore and validate new technologies (AI, NLP, LLMs) prior to industrialization.
• Lead technical design utilizing a combination of SaaS, COTS integrations, and custom Cloud applications.
• Enforce standards to ensure scalable and secured architecture that adheres to our API, Event-Driven strategies, and enterprise architecture drivers.
• Participate in all phases of the end-to-end application lifecycle, including research, design, development, testing, and support.

Your boarding pass:

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience with a proven track record in digital architecture definition.
• Backbones (LAN/DMZ/Cloud): SAP, AWS (Current core), GCP (Upcoming), Scaleway (Upcoming), Skywise, Kubernetes (Opportunities).
• Patterns: Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture, REST APIs, A2A, MCP and Streaming (Kafka).
• Data & AI: LLMs, NLP, Graph Databases, Vector Databases.
• Adaptive communication: Ability to discuss APIs with developers as well as business value and ROI with stakeholders.
• Languages: Advanced level in French and negotiation level in English (knowledge of airline customer activities such as MROs / Lessors is a big plus).
