Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Product Catalog & Environmental Footprint team to support the increasing strategic importance of product information and environmental transparency at Scaleway.
Your mission will be to develop and maintain internal and customer-facing features related to our product catalog and environmental impact reporting, in order to centralize product information and empower our users to make more sustainable infrastructure choices.
YOUR FUTURE TEAM :
We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together.
You will be part of a team of 6 people: 4 Software Engineers, 1 Engineering Manager, and 1 Product Manager. This cross-functional team collaborates with many other departments including Console, Website, Data & IT Automation, and Billing.
Together, we build tools that provide a clear view of our product offering and environmental footprint, with the goal of enabling transparency and sustainability for all our clients.
Manager information: Yves Marx is an Engineering Manager at Scaleway with 18 years of experience in software development and tech team leadership. He combines expertise in cloud, edge computing, and software architecture with hands-on leadership and a strong track record in driving technical execution.
YOUR DAILY ROUTINE :
- Develop and maintain features related to the product catalog and environmental footprint tools
- Collaborate closely with other Scaleway teams to align on data and product structure
- Participate in sprint rituals and contribute to planning, estimations, and code reviews
- Monitor production systems and ensure operational excellence
- Investigate bugs and provide timely fixes
- Continuously improve internal tooling and development workflows
- Contribute to the overall design and architecture discussions
- Take part in an inclusive and collaborative team dynamic
- Attend regular “in-days” in Paris (every 4 to 6 weeks)
- Share knowledge and learn from highly experienced teammates
SOFTSKILLS :
- Strong team spirit and a collaborative mindset
- Curious and eager to learn, regardless of experience level
- Open and calm communicator, able to work in a peaceful and respectful environment
- Interest in sustainability and willingness to contribute to environmentally responsible projects
- Comfortable in a decentralized, remote-friendly team setup
- Experience with Go in a production environment
- Good understanding of Kubernetes and containerized applications
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Ability to work across the full software lifecycle (from spec to run)
- Comfort working on features that involve both internal tools and customer-facing interfaces
