Responsibilities

• Take part and drive object squad projects, contributing to all steps of the life cycle: design, implementation, testing, and production.
• Use native Node.js libraries for storage services and Golang for Kubernetes operators.
• Collaborate with team members to unblock technical challenges.
• Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve software while ensuring an amazing user experience.
• Develop robust, secure, and well‑designed fault‑tolerant high‑performance distributed systems.
• Work with architects, product owners, and leads to deliver the Scality roadmap.

Technical Skills

• Programming Languages: Node.js, Golang, TypeScript
• Distributed Systems: Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, ZooKeeper, high availability, scaling
• Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, containerd, Salt, Ansible
• System Knowledge: Linux, networking, security (OWASP top 10, public‑key encryption, TLS, SSH)
• Testing & DevOps: Design of test plans, mocking, benchmarking, profiling, Terraform, CI/CD, Jira, GitHub
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure

Desired Skills & Experience

• French residents only
• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience developing and testing clear, robust code with performance in mind.
• Experience in multiple languages like Node.js, GoLang, and TypeScript.
• Experience in storage and distributed systems space.
• Strong skills around observability, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Exhibit care for software quality and all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
