Sonio is offering a 6-month end-of-studies internship in software engineering and AI tooling based in Paris. You will work on internal tools to set up realistic test and demo environments, directly supporting development and delivery for prenatal care applications.

The role focuses on building simulators (DICOM SR and ultrasound) and integrating them into AI-driven tooling for demos and tests. A genuine interest in improving fetal and maternal health through AI is essential.

Qualificações

• Final-year student in engineering or MS in CS seeking a 6-month end-of-studies internship.
• Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript; basic knowledge of Playwright.
• Familiar with APIs, containers, and CI pipelines.
• Curious about LLM-based tooling and agent tool-calling.

Responsabilidades

• DICOM SR simulator: study real DICOM SRs from ultrasound manufacturers and create realistic SRs for testing.
• Full simulator: rebuild the internal ultrasound machine simulator for varied scenarios.
• AI-driven simulation tool: integrate the simulator into an AI-piloted tool for demos and test preparation.

About Sonio

Each year, 140M children are born. Birth defects affect 1 in 33 births in developed countries, and in 50% of cases, they are not detected during prenatal examinations. Prenatal medicine is particularly complex, and the scans impose heavy responsibilities on healthcare professionals. They can also be a source of stress for future parents.

Resulting from 5 years of collaboration between world-renowned experts from Necker Hospital and Ecole Polytechnique, Sonio uses artificial intelligence to improve prenatal screening and diagnosis. About the role:

Build real software, with real impact. Join our tech team for an internship in software engineering and AI-driven tooling, and help shape the tools that support prenatal care. You will work on internal tools that make setting up realistic test and demo environments fast and easy, directly supporting development and delivery.

Your missions:

• DICOM SR simulator: study real DICOM Structured Reports (SR) from different ultrasound manufacturers and create realistic SRs for testing

• Full simulator: rebuild our internal ultrasound machine simulator from scratch, so that various scenarios can easily be generated and experimented with

• AI-driven simulation tool: integrate the simulator into a broader AI-piloted tool that simulates real user interactions with the application, for demos, test preparation, or configuration experiments

About the profile :

Sonio is a mission-driven company, so a genuine interest in our mission (improving fetal and maternal health through AI) is essential. Beyond that, we’re looking for someone who:

• Is a final-year student in an engineering school or a Master’s in Computer Science, looking for a 6-month end-of-studies internship

• Is comfortable with JavaScript and TypeScript and has some knowledge of Playwright

• Knows the basics of APIs, containers and CI pipelines

• Is curious about LLM-based tooling (agents, tool calling, MCP)
