Scaleway is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Non-Relational Database team. This role involves developing key database products like Redis and MongoDB while maintaining performance and stability across various regions. Ideal candidates will have expertise in Kubernetes, Go, and deployment tools. Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes administration and cluster management.
• Experience with deployment tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, and Flux.
• Proficiency in Go or another programming language.
• Familiarity with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Redis, MongoDB, or other NoSQL technologies.

About the Role

Scaleway’s Non‑Relational Database team seeks a software engineer to replace a departing member and maintain our momentum on scaling high‑demand products. The role focuses on ensuring a robust, scalable, and high‑performance experience for our customers across new sovereign regions.

The team consists of five people, including a manager, a product manager, and three developers. Work is collaborative and international, with a focus on customer‑facing products built on modern stacks.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the consolidation and development of major database products—Redis and MongoDB—within Scaleway’s product ecosystem.
• Maintain production quality standards for performance, stability, and resilience.
• Deploy products to new geographical regions as part of Scaleway’s global expansion.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
• Contribute to internal documentation and the development of technical best practices.
• Participate in Agile rituals, including two‑week sprints and team meetings.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Engineering, Product, and Sales.

Hard Skills

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes administration and cluster management.
• Experience with deployment tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, and Flux.
• Proficiency in Go, or demonstrated experience in another programming language.

Hiring Process
