Job summary

UNESCO in Paris is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to implement the Social Media Strategy, coordinating planning, production and delivery of content across platforms and languages.

You will work with the Communications Strategic Planning Team to align activities with priorities, develop multimedia content, monitor performance with social listening tools, and provide training to Programme Sectors and Field Offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in social media management and digital communications.
• At least one year preferably gained at an international level.
• Experience coordinating social media content and campaigns involving multiple colleagues or teams.
• Drafting and editing communication materials.
• Managing social media monitoring and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Social Media Strategy and Guidelines by collaborating with communication focal points and specialists to ensure message consistency and graphic coherence.
• Coordinate with the Communications Strategic Planning Team to update the Communications Planning Grid, aligning social media activities with UNESCO's priorities.
• Develop and assess social media components for communication campaigns; design strategies to maximize outreach; adapt campaign content for various platforms, audiences and languages.
• Contribute to strategic planning, creation and editing of multimedia content, maintaining a consistent brand tone and multilingual production.
• Supervise monitoring and evaluation of social media materials; report on trends and audience analyses using social listening tools.
• Survey the social media landscape for new trends; provide advice on best practices; conduct training sessions for Programme Sectors and Field Offices.
