Welcome to the Jungle is seeking a Social Media & Content Apprentice for a 12-month program. You will research topics, turn them into engaging content, and help run our social media engine day-to-day, from brief to publish.
You will build expertise on topics like belonging at work and grow autonomy to create strong content across channels. You’ll work with Brand, Content, Growth and Creative teams to turn ideas into published content and manage the editorial calendar.
We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Apprentice to join our Brand & Marketing team for 12 months.
This role sits at the intersection of content creation, social media and editorial operations.
You’ll research the topics we want to talk about, help find the right angles and turn them into compelling written content — from social posts and newsletters to articles and other editorial formats.
You’ll also help run our social media engine day to day: managing the editorial calendar, coordinating teams, taking projects from brief to publication and making sure our content goes live on time.
As you build expertise on key topics — such as belonging at work — we expect you to progressively gain autonomy and become able to turn one subject into strong content across different channels and formats.
A key part of your role will be to help turn the topics we want to own into strong written content.
You’ll:
Research and monitor relevant topics, trends and conversations across social media, competitors, media and other relevant sources.
Develop strong editorial knowledge of the topics we want to own — such as belonging at work — so you progressively become confident writing about them.
Brainstorm and identify relevant angles: what should we say, why does it matter now, and what is the most interesting way for Welcome to the Jungle to talk about it?
Write and adapt content across formats, including social media posts and captions, articles, newsletters, editorial series and other brand content.
Turn one strong topic or idea into multiple pieces of content adapted to different channels, formats and audiences.
Work with our Content, Brand, Growth and Creative teams when needed to turn these ideas into published content.
The ambition is for you to progressively own the editorial execution of the topics you work on: once you understand a subject deeply, you should be able to spot opportunities, find the right angles and turn them into compelling written content across our different channels.
You’ll help make sure our social media engine runs smoothly — from initial brief to publication.
You’ll:
Own and organise the social media editorial calendar, making sure priorities, deadlines and publication dates are clear and up to date.
Coordinate the different teams involved — Brand, Content, Growth, Creative, Studio and other stakeholders — to make sure everyone knows what is expected and when.
Manage content projects from brief to publication, following up on deliverables, anticipating blockers and keeping things moving.
Perform final checks before publication to ensure every piece of content meets our quality standards.
Publish content across our social channels on time, making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Social media is not only about publishing content — it’s also about creating and joining conversations.
You’ll:
Support day-to-day community management and moderation across our social channels.
Respond to comments and actively keep conversations going.
Identify relevant conversations happening beyond our own channels and proactively engage with third-party content when Welcome to the Jungle has something relevant to contribute.
Surface interesting reactions, questions and community signals that can inspire future content.
If you enjoy building as much as thinking, and believe social can shape culture, not just distribute content, we’d love to meet you.
