Job summary

Cunextseason in Tignes is seeking a friendly ski rental assistant to join our team for the Northern Hemisphere winter season. You will fit clients with equipment, ensure safety by correct DIN settings, process online orders, and handle payments with attention to detail.

Experience in ski/snowboard rental or retail is preferred. Fluent French is desirable; you must be available from 15 November 2023 to 1 May 2024 and eligible to work in France.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Important details about this position

We are a young and dynamic company which prides itself on high quality service. We deliver ski and snowboard equipment to chalets and apartments in all areas of the Espace Killy region (Tignes, Val d'Isere, Sainte Foy and more) and kit out many of our clients in our own, independent shop, located in Tignes le Lavachet. Our workshop in Tignes le Lavachet services all used equipment weekly, and is proud to extend this service to all visitors to Tignes. Our 'repair and servicing' operation has an extremely high reputation in the area for repairing damage previously thought of as 'unfixable'. We are looking for sharp, adaptable and motivated individuals to be at the fore-front of our service. Applicants must be aged 18+ years and be available to work in Tignes from 15th November 2023 to 1st May 2024. Some previous experience in the role is required. Eligible to work in France (EU passport or appropriate work permit or visa). Reporting to the Shop and Retail Managers, this role is responsible for presenting a professional and efficient ski and snowboard rental service. Good time management, enthusiasm, flexibility, attention to detail, and great communication skills are key to the role. Previous ski/snowboard rental, retail and customer service experience is desirable. Good level of conversational French is desirable. ResponsibilitiesFit clients with appropriate equipment according to their level of ability and confidence, ensuring that they understand the reasons why. Ensure the safety of clients by assigning the correct din setting and binding pressure. Process orders from the online store. Correct and prompt processing of payments. Use own initiative whilst still responding to the direction of more experienced and senior staff. Positively representing of our brand and drive the rental business forward.
