Job description

As a Maintenance Technician at Vestas, you perform a role that has a tangible impact. You do more than maintain equipment: you directly contribute to providing safe, sustainable, and affordable energy to the homes, hospitals, schools, and businesses around you.

This position is designed for individuals who want to take on meaningful responsibilities, put their skills to the test in the field, and benefit from the autonomy needed to solve real-world challenges. Here, your judgment, attention to detail, and expertise directly contribute to the reliability of the energy systems that communities depend on every day.

This is a hands‑on career with real and measurable impact. When a wind turbine is operating thanks to your intervention, an entire community continues to be powered because of your work.

What You’ll Do
  • Adhere to Vestas standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of wind turbines.
  • Carry out inspections, preventive maintenance activities, and component replacements with precision.
  • Work safely in demanding conditions, including at height and in all weather conditions.
  • Use diagnostic tools, technical drawings, and specialized documentation to identify and resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with your team to ensure safe and high‑performing operations.
  • Complete reports and required documentation to ensure traceability of interventions and wind turbine performance.
What You’ll Benefit From

At Vestas, you will develop strong technical expertise in a constantly evolving industry.

  • You will work with cutting‑edge technologies and benefit from ongoing training opportunities both in France and internationally.
  • You will enjoy the autonomy needed to work in the field, solve complex challenges, and continue developing your skills every day.
  • You will have access to genuine career development opportunities into roles such as Expert, Senior Technician, Lead Technician, or positions in management and technical support.
  • You will join a team where safety is not simply a requirement, but a shared commitment.

Every climb, every intervention, every inspection, and every decision is guided by a fundamental belief: protecting yourself and your colleagues is the foundation of a job well done. This means taking the necessary time, communicating clearly, and always carrying out work to the highest standards.

By joining Vestas, a leader in wind energy in France, you will benefit from a structured onboarding program, access to our national training center in Reims, and development opportunities within an international company built on more than 40 years of expertise in renewable energy.

You will also benefit from a competitive compensation package, management-level status (Cadre), 12 to 15 additional days off per year, comprehensive health insurance coverage, profit‑sharing and incentive schemes, as well as other benefits that support your well‑being and professional development.

This is a career that will allow you to grow, make a meaningful contribution, and have a measurable impact on the communities around you.
