SE Ventures is a $1B global venture capital firm, currently deploying its $500M stage-agnostic Fund II, backed by Schneider Electric. SE Ventures invests in bold entrepreneurs in climate tech and industrial tech, with over 40 portfolio companies, including 7 unicorns: Claroty, Scandit, BuildOps, Enable, Augury, Verkor, and Together AI. SE Ventures recently backed in Europe Ostrom, Enter, Makersite and Nodes & Links.

SE Ventures is seeking an investor for the investment team in Europe, Senior Associate to Principal level depending on experience. This investor will work closely with global management and be highly involved in all phases of the investment process.

This position is based in Paris or Grenoble, France – 3 days a week in the office.

Core Responsibilities

• Source high-potential startups across Europe with a focus on software/light capex climate tech and industrial tech
• Lead new investment opportunities, including market research, financial modeling, and customer references
• Support portfolio companies to help drive their success and identify new investment opportunities
• Work closely with SE Ventures operating partners to identify potential partnerships between portfolio companies and Schneider Electric
• Lead the pre‑seed accelerator program in Europe: assess founders, evaluate company potential, and manage the local cohort

Qualifications

• 2‑6 years of experience in a Tier‑1 VC or financial CVC in Europe, in addition to prior experience in investment banking, strategic consulting, or as a startup founder
• Relevant track record in software VC investments at Seed and Series A/B stages in Europe, ideally in climate tech or industrial tech
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Demonstrated ability to build long‑term relationships with founders
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Team‑oriented, proactive, and able to work autonomously
• Strong academic performance
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is not necessary
