Senior Structural Design Engineer

iO Associates is currently partnered with a leading aerospace client that is seeking a Senior Aerostructures Engineer to provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, analysis, and development of aerostructures for a major aviation program. This is a rare opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and performance of next‑generation aircraft.

As part of a dynamic and forward‑thinking team, you'll be responsible for aerostructures design, materials selection, structural analysis, and manufacturing processes within the aerospace industry.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in aerospace engineering with a focus on aerostructures design and analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX) and structural analysis methods.
  • B1 level or above in French and fluent in English
  • Expertise in aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with aircraft certification processes and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA).
Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of aerostructures components and assemblies, optimising for performance, weight, and manufacturability.
  • Perform structural analysis and calculations to validate strength, stiffness, and fatigue life.
  • Select appropriate materials and collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure compatibility with design requirements.
  • Support integration and testing of aerostructures components, including static, dynamic, and fatigue tests.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace regulatory standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, prepare technical reports, and support program milestones.
