Interstellar Lab is seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to own the design, development, and validation of our electronic systems. You will collaborate with mechanical and embedded software engineers to create reliable, high‑performance electronics supporting automation, control, and monitoring of biospheric systems.

Some projects may involve space-rated hardware requiring aerospace compliance. In this role you will lead PCB design, component selection, EMC mitigation, and supplier follow-up,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of electronic design experience in industrial, aerospace, or consumer products.
• Experience with schematic design, PCB layout, and DFM/DFT.
• EMC/EMI mitigation and validation testing experience.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers (STM32) and communication buses (RS-485, I2C, SPI).
• Exposure to SSP 57000 aerospace standards is a plus.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and layout electronic schematics and PCBs (KiCad or Altium).
• Select components, define stackups, and ensure manufacturability and serviceability.
• Lead mechanical and electrical integration with product and systems teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers for PCB fabrication, assembly, and production follow-up.
• Plan and implement EMC mitigation and reliability strategies (ESD, surge, derating).
• Conduct board bring-up, debugging, and validation testing using standard lab tools.
• Create test plans, validation documentation, and track issue resolution.
• Support development of embedded test firmware in collaboration with software teams.
