Senior Software Engineer – TypeScript

Jobtailor is seeking a senior full-stack leader to own the scenario engine and configuration model, and to build self-serve onboarding from backend through the dashboard.

You will define the platform roadmap with product and operations, set quality standards, and own production reliability. Expect hands-on leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with an engineering team in Paris.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building full-stack products in production.
• Experience mostly in startups or fast-growing companies.
• Strong TypeScript skills across backend and frontend.
• Experience with Node and monorepos.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Strong eye for interface quality and discipline in following a design system.
• Experience turning a manual process into a product, or strong motivation to do so.
• Solid system design and clean refactoring practices.
• Ability to identify risks in untested AI-generated code
• Ability to frame work, set guardrails, and review carefully.
• Ability to reduce scope and explain technical decisions clearly.
• Willingness to work at least 3 days per week in the Paris office.
• Ability to complete live coding without AI.

Responsabilités

• Own the architecture of the scenario engine and configuration model.
• Build self-serve clinic onboarding from backend through dashboard.
• Develop and improve the clinic dashboard.
• Define the platform technical roadmap with the product manager and operations team.
• Set quality standards for tests, reviews, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Own production reliability, fixes, and prevention of recurring issues.
• Define engineering squad processes, reviews, documentation, and technical decisions.
• Collaborate daily with an experienced engineer and support their growth.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding future engineers.
• Get onboarded on the stack and ship a dashboard improvement in the first week.
• Own a feature end-to-end during the first month.
• Deliver the first scenario engine version within the first three months.
• Enable standard clinic onboarding without developer tickets.
• Help establish the platform team's way of working and hire at least one engineer.
