C12 in Paris is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to shape the future of quantum measurement and to build the framework that runs experiments on quantum computers. You will drive backend development and bridge R&D with engineering teams. The role requires 5+ years building backend/data-intensive systems, strong Python, and experience with message brokers and PostgreSQL.

Preference for Prefect or Airflow. We offer a base salary of 60,000–78,000 EUR per year, stock options, global conference

Qualifications

• > 5 years building robust backend or data-intensive apps.
• > Proficient in Python; eager to master ecosystem.
• > Comfortable with message brokers and relational DBs (PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy).
• > Experience with orchestration tools like Prefect or Airflow is a plus.
• > Background in physics/engineering is a plus.
• > Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn new languages/frameworks/APIs.
• > Strong English communication in collaborative environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of our core quantum measurement software framework for high performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with R&D and other engineering teams to translate experimental requirements into robust software.
• Define and document architecture for instrument control, data storage, and measurement orchestration to support growth.
• Champion rigorous software practices: code reviews, design discussions, CI/CD, and automated testing.
