Scaleway is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its IT & Sales Tooling team in France. You will run, maintain, and scale core internal services (Ticketing, ERP, CRM) and design new internal tools while upholding performance, reliability, and security.

You will collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Support to translate requirements into robust specifications, using modern tooling (Docker, Ansible, GitLab CI) and AI-assisted coding practices. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and Go.
• Experience building and optimizing microservices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and secure coding practices.
• Experience with ERP/CRM integrations (e.g., Odoo, CRM systems).
• Ability to design backend systems and document technical specs.

Responsabilités

WHY WE NEED YOU ?

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer for our IT & Sales Tooling team. Our mission is to professionalize Scaleway's internal software ecosystem. You will run, maintain, and scale core internal services (Ticketing systems, ERP, CRM) used by internal teams and external users. You will also design and develop new internal tools, maintaining technical standards for performance, reliability, and security.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

You will join the IT & Sales Tooling team, which develops internal software for commercial, support, and operational activities.

• Scope: We manage tools including CRM, Odoo (ERP), and the ticketing platform (Support) ensuring they are perfectly tuned to our business objectives.
• Collaboration: We partner with business stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Support, Operations) to build technical solutions for their workflows.
• Goal: Enable business performances by delivering reliable IT & Sales tools that comply with security and data standards.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE :

• Operations: Maintain and monitor core business applications and backend services.
• Software Development: Write clean, tested code in Python and Go to automate business workflows and update internal systems.
• Cross-Functional Work: Work with Sales, Finance, and Support teams to translate requirements or initiatives into robust specifications.
• Engineering Standards: Perform code reviews, write unit tests, and maintain architecture documentation.
• Technical Stack: composed mostly of docker deployments, automated by Ansible, running on our internal Gitlab CI.
• Technical Architecture: Refactor and modernize legacy internal systems to improve scalability.
• Tooling & AI Integration: Use internal LLMs and development tools to automate operational processes and software tasks.

ABOUT YOU:

HARDSKILLS :

• Backend Development: 5+ years of experience in Python and Go, focusing on building and optimizing microservices.
• Software Practices: Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools, unit testing, and software security fundamentals.
• Business Systems: Prior experience working with ERPs (e.g., Odoo) or CRMs is a plus.
• Automation: Experience building integrations and pipelines between disparate business tools.
• System Design: Ability to design backend systems and document technical specifications.

SOFTSKILLS :

• Ownership: Ability to take responsibility for service maintenance and project completion.
• Agile Practices: Experience working in an Agile environment inspired by Scrum.
• Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
