Job summary

Scaleway, a leading sovereign cloud provider, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build automation and orchestration tools for Bare Metal infrastructure. You will work on server provisioning, hardware lifecycle, and deployment automation, collaborating with Network, Datacenter and SRE teams to scale Availability Zones.

You will develop in Python and/or Go, leverage Linux systems, and contribute to CI/CD improvements while advancing the reliability and observability of our cloud

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Software/Infrastructure Engineering or similar roles.
• Strong Python and/or Go development skills.
• Solid Linux experience (Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
• Hands-on with infrastructure provisioning and deployment automation.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, GitLab and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, K3s, FluxCD and SOPS.
• Knowledge of observability/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automation and orchestration tools for Bare Metal provisioning at scale.
• Contribute to automation of new Availability Zone and region deployments.
• Build and improve software to manage hardware lifecycle from provisioning to operations.
• Develop reliable, scalable applications using Python and/or Go.
• Improve resilience, performance and observability of orchestration systems.
• Collaborate with Network, Datacenter, Supply Chain and SRE teams.
• Drive CI/CD and deployment process improvements.
• Share knowledge and contribute to engineering practices.
