Job summary

Finastra seeks a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to design, development, and delivery of high-quality software for financial services clients. You will join a cross-functional Agile team, reporting to the Development Manager, and work on platforms like Kondor Front Office.

The role requires 5+ years of C++ experience, Linux, and exposure to modern tech such as Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and REST APIs. Hybrid work arrangements apply with global collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience with C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with Linux OS, SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Kafka, Kubernetes, Linux, Docker, Git, Jira, and Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine functional and technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality C++ code following best practices (SOLID principles, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD).
  • Debug, analyze, and resolve complex application issues.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and internal stakeholders to support product releases and resolve software issues.
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members to foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Follow Agile and SAFe methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

What will you contribute? As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions for our financial services clients. This role reports to the Development Manager, and will work within a cross-functional Agile team, contributing to the evolution of our trading and investment platforms, such as Kondor Front Office. This role requires strong C++ expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges in a dynamic, international environment.

Responsibilities & Deliverables
  • Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine functional and technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality C++ code following best practices (SOLID principles, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD).

Required Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with C++ required.
  • Experience with Linux OS, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Kafka, Kubernetes, Linux, Docker, Git, Jira, and Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
