Ledger is seeking a Senior Scala Backend Engineer to join the Cloud Wallet team. You design, build, and operate Scala services that connect Ledger wallets and Ledger Enterprise to blockchain backends, handling account creation, history, transactions, and lifecycle tracking.

You will lead new blockchain integrations end to end, across account-based, UTXO and privacy-preserving chains, and own production quality, incidents, and cross-team collaborations. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering with production ownership.
• Strong experience with Scala and functional programming.
• Hands-on blockchain integration: account-based, UTXO, or privacy-preserving chains.
• Experience with event-driven systems and data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with observability tooling and incident management.
• Clear written English for design docs and incident reports.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and operate Scala services powering Ledger wallets and Ledger Enterprise.
• Lead new blockchain integrations end to end from ADR to production for multiple chain types.
• Own production quality: SLIs/SLOs, observability, incident resolution.
• Define contracts with Coin Integration and Ledger Enterprise teams.
• Draft ADRs, review designs, and drive code quality and testing across the stack.
• Work with AI coding tools and contribute to the team's AI tooling.
• Mentor other engineers and share knowledge across Backend Blockchain community.
