Senior Sales & Business Development Manager – Europe

Aviation | Rail | Helicopter

Based, Northern France

€65,000 – €85,000 base + Co Car + Attractive bonus + Package

GMA Technical are delighted to partner exclusively with a world-leading design, manufacturer, and service provider of engineered bespoke access equipment for the aviation and rail industries.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished senior sales professional to shape the future of European business growth for a globally respected engineering innovator.

Given strategic plans for growth and heavy investment, they are now seeking to hire a Senior Sales & Business Development Manager for the aviation and rail, engine build, helicopter and fuelling sectors throughout Europe.

As Senior Sales & Business Development Manager, you will take full ownership of developing and expanding sales across the European markets, driving growth of a comprehensive portfolio that includes specialist access platform equipment for aviation, rail, helicopter, engine build and fuelling segments.

Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Sales Leadership
  • Drive market growth across Europe for access equipment and aviation ground support systems.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, nurturing both new and existing customer relationships.
  • Maintain regular, structured customer engagement to strengthen networks and uncover opportunities.
  • Work closely with the UK-based Managing Director to coordinate orders, project progress, and installation schedules.
  • Set and deliver against ambitious sales and profit targets with clear, effective activity planning.
Customer & Project Management
  • Prepare detailed quotations, manage follow-ups, and oversee the full customer communication cycle.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and produce comprehensive reporting on market trends, buying behaviours, and product feedback.
Technical & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Liaise with internal teams—Design, Production, Sales—to ensure accurate information flow for design, purchasing, and manufacturing.
  • Participate in weekly contract review meetings, supporting smooth project delivery.
  • Provide technical input for costings, tenders, and product estimations as required.
Market Representation
  • Prepare for and attend major exhibitions, delivering compelling presentations and live product demonstrations.
  • Support long-term business planning through market intelligence reporting and analysis.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of the Aviation and / or Rail sectors.
  • A proven track record of technical sales, ideally across aviation, rail, or engineered access solutions.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to build lasting customer relationships at all levels.
  • Highly self-motivated, organised, and commercially astute, that is motivated to progress their career.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Europe by air and road to drive business development.
