Job summary

Beicip-Franlab is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer / Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary subsurface studies and coordinate international client engagements. You will run reservoir analyses, dynamic simulations, and field development reviews, while guiding teams and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

The role requires extensive hands-on reservoir engineering and proven project leadership, with fluent English and willingness to travel overseas.

Qualifications

• MSc / PhD in Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in reservoir engineering.
• Strong skills in reservoir simulation, with at least 10 years hands-on experience (Petrel, Eclipse, IX, CMG, tNav).
• Proven ability to manage or coordinate technical projects, including planning, client communication and deliverable follow-up.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• A confident and assertive personality with effective technical leadership.
• Experience publishing and presenting technical papers.
• Overseas experience is advantageous.
• Fluent English mandatory; French and Spanish advantageous.
• Mobility for short/long-term overseas missions.
• Legal right to work in France without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead reservoir engineering analyses and dynamic simulation studies (model initialization, history matching, performance prediction).
• Act as Project Manager for integrated subsurface studies coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage project execution: scope, planning, budget, deliverables, risks and priorities.
• Interact with clients to ensure clear technical direction and timely delivery.
• Propose and apply creative workflows using leading-edge technologies and tools.
• Promote integration between disciplines to address subsurface challenges.
• Mentor junior reservoir engineers and share knowledge within the department.
