Job summary

Statkraft is seeking a (Senior) Commercial Analyst to take commercial ownership of flexibility optimisation in Southern Europe, including France, Spain, and Italy. You will work at the crossroads of mathematics, physics, computer science and business to shape how flexibility is valued and monetised in real-time across energy markets.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and modelling capabilities.
• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in French short-term markets.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent quantitative background.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend automated trading and optimisation algorithms for flexible assets.
• Localise optimisation and trading frameworks for Southern European wholesale markets.
• Communicate complex analytical outputs to stakeholders across the organisation.
• Challenge model assumptions, data quality and market representations.
• Act as sparring partner to traders and portfolio managers.
• Contribute to improvement of algorithmic trading and monitoring systems.
