Cognite is seeking a Value & Adoption Lead to own the end-to-end discipline of turning software capabilities into daily operational habits for site engineers, maintenance planners, and leadership.

You will bridge technology deployment and business value realization, working with customer executives and the Strategic Account team to ensure alignment of KPIs with digital capabilities.

The Opportunity

As a Value & Adoption Lead, you will hold the single most critical mandate for driving technology stickiness across Cognite’s largest, most complex strategic accounts

Spanning thousands of active operational users, multiple assets, and live data products, our largest co-innovation partnerships represent multi-year AI transformations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technology deployment and business value realization. Working directly with customer and the Strategic Account team, you will own the end-to-end discipline of turning software capabilities—such as Agentic AI, Flows, and Adaptive Experiences—into daily operational habits for site engineers, maintenance planners, and leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Drive Structured Value Tracking & Realization: Own the account’s four-tier value chain (Retention Activated Users Workflow Embeddedness Business Outcome Attribution). Maintain the aggregated value view (identified vs. realized) as the single source of truth for the economic buyer.
• Lead Integrated Adoption & Enablement: Transform ad-hoc enablement into a repeatable, multi-asset adoption drumbeat. Design role-persona pathways with Cognite Academy, drive train-the-trainer models, and lead hypercare handovers.
• Build & Orchestrate Champion Networks: Identify, activate, and certify key operational influencers and super-users across assets, ensuring long‑term customer self-sufficiency.
• Diagnose & Solve Adoption Barriers: Run rigorous diagnostics whenever workflow uptake stalls—mapping gaps across training, tooling, or organizational processes—and mobilize cross-functional teams (Delivery, Field Engineering, Academy, Customer Leadership) to resolve them.
• Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Partner closely with customer executives (SVPs of Operations, Asset GMs, Transformation Leads) to align operational KPIs with digital capabilities, translating complex technology into clear business impact.
• Scale the Practice: Contribute to Cognite’s global Value & Adoption framework by building reusable playbooks, metrics, and diagnostic methodologies that scale across our strategic accounts portfolio.

What We’re Looking For

• Domain & Operational Fluency: Direct experience in energy, heavy industry, or oil & gas operations. You speak the language of operational users, understand asset workflows, and carry immediate credibility with site-level engineers and business leaders.
• Proven Track Record in Change & Adoption: Demonstrated success leading large-scale digital adoption, technology change management, customer success, or operational consulting in heavy industry environments.
• Value-Oriented & Product-Curious: A strong growth mindset with deep curiosity to master Cognite’s AI product suite (Flows, Atlas AI, agentic tools) and connect feature capabilities directly to business value outcomes.
• People-Fluent & Character-Driven: Exceptional stakeholder management skills—equally comfortable engaging frontline technicians on site as presenting quarterly impact metrics to C‑suite economic buyers.
• Structured & Analytical: Highly organized operating rhythm. Ability to track quantitative metrics (Monthly Active Users, workflow depth, cost/barrel impact) while managing complex cross‑functional backlogs.
• AI Fluency: Proactive in adopting AI-augmented tools into your daily ways of working (e.g., using AI for content generation, enablement material tailoring, and synthesized executive reporting).
