Job summary

CryptoNext Security SAS in Paris seeks a Senior Product Owner to own the CryptoNext Crypto-Agility Orchectration Platform from discovery through launch. You will coordinate discovery of cryptographic assets, define enforcement policies, and drive remediation with R&D and sales teams.

You will define the product roadmap, convert market needs into EPICs and user stories, and lead backlog grooming while ensuring adoption and feedback loop into the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Engineering or CS degree required or equivalent
• 7+ years in product roles (PO/PM) in cybersecurity or B2B deep tech software
• Proven end-to-end product ownership from discovery to launch
• Strong agile product practices: backlog, user stories, discovery
• Experience with product marketing: positioning, launches, sales enablement
• Good understanding of cybersecurity market and enterprise buying
• Knowledge of cryptography, PKI or PQC is a strong plus
• Hands-on use of AI tools to prototype and build solutions
• Ability to work with cryptography engineers and assess architecture constraints
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
• Autonomous, collaborative, strong communication with sales and partners

On a daily basis, you will

As Senior Product Owner, you will join our Product team, reporting to the Head of Product, and take ownership of the product across the whole CryptoNext Crypto-Agility Orchectration Platform covering: Discovery of cryptographic assets, Crypto-Agility, Definition and Enforcement of cryptographic policies and Remediation.

Your role covers three areas:

Product ownership

• Building and maintaining the product roadmap with the Head of Product, based on customer value, market priorities and technical constraints.
• Turning customer and market needs into clear EPICs, user stories and acceptance criteria that our R&D team can deliver.
• Managing the backlog and running product rituals with R&D, including scope and trade-off decisions.
• Following features after release: validation, adoption, customer feedback.
• Sharing good product practices within the team and acting as a senior reference on product topics.

Market knowledge and product marketing

• Keeping a close watch on the PQC market: competitors, standards and regulation (NIST, ANSSI, BSI, ETSI, EU PQC roadmap, DORA…), and how customers actually approach their migration.
• Defining our positioning, messaging and value proposition for each segment and buyer persona (CISOs, security architects, integrators, OEMs).
• Creating sales enablement material such as battle cards, demo scenarios, product presentations and FAQs, and supporting presales and channel partners on strategic deals.
• Preparing product launches with Marketing and Sales, from release content to the go-to-market plan and partner communication.
• Meeting customers and prospects regularly and bringing what you learn back into the roadmap.

AI-powered product building

• Building working prototypes and proofs of concept yourself with AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable or similar) to test ideas with users before R&D commits to them.
• Using AI in your day-to-day product work: drafting specs and user stories, analyzing customer feedback, summarizing market and competitive intelligence.
• Helping the Product team adopt these practices.

The skills you'll need

Education and Experience

• A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. A business school background with strong technical exposure is also welcome.
• At least 7 years of experience in product roles (Product Owner or Product Manager), in cybersecurity or B2B deep tech software.
• Proven experience owning a B2B product end to end, from discovery to launch.

Product and Market Expertise

• Solid command of agile product practices: backlog management, user stories, product discovery.
• Hands-on experience with product marketing: positioning, product launches, sales enablement.
• Good understanding of the cybersecurity market and of how large enterprises buy security software.
• Knowledge of cryptography, PKI or PQC is a strong plus.

AI and Technical Skills

• Regular, hands-on use of AI tools to prototype and build. You can show us something you built yourself.
• Enough technical depth to work with cryptography engineers and understand architecture constraints (APIs, libraries, integrations).

Language Skills

• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken. You will present to customers and partners in both languages.

Soft Skills

• Customer-centric, with a taste for meeting users and understanding their context.
• Able to explain complex technical topics in simple terms to sales, partners and customers.
• Autonomous and comfortable making product decisions in a fast-moving start-up.
• Collaborative, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
