Twin Harbour Interactive is seeking a Principal Node.js Engineer to lead the backend evolution for its strategy games platform. You will drive architecture, security, and scalable service design while mentoring the team and collaborating with product managers to shape the technical roadmap.

You’ll work in a diverse, international environment with flexible hybrid work across multiple locations and a strong emphasis on modern tooling (NestJS, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud services).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in TypeScript/Node.js development.
• Proven experience with software service architecture (DDD) and PHP 7/8 legacy code.
• Experience with unit/integration/e2e testing and modern Node.js frameworks.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and containers.
• Experience with multi-server, high-load Node.js apps and cloud tech (GCP).
• Excellent problem solving, clean code, and design pattern usage.
• Fluent in technical and business English; capable of guiding teams with Kanban.

Responsabilités

• Lead transformation of our PHP monolith into decoupled, secure services.
• Drive architectural decisions for new services and tech strategy.
• Promote testing, security and development best practices.
• Contribute high-quality TypeScript code using NestJS.
• Collaborate with product teams, tech leads and QA for integrated delivery.
• Mentor developers and own key technical KPIs and roadmaps.
• Own API integrations, payment systems, and data tracking.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and AI-enabled workflow.
