Job summary

Syneos Health seeks a Principal Medical Writer to lead complex medical writing deliverables for sponsor-dedicated programs. You will define document strategy, coordinate activities across departments, and ensure regulatory compliance and timely delivery.

With 6+ years in science writing, you will mentor others, interact with clients, and contribute to submissions and publications while maintaining high quality and adherence to AMA style and FDA/ICH guidelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in science, technical, or medical writing.
• Experience in biopharmaceutical, device, or CRO industry.
• Advanced understanding of FDA and ICH regulations and guidelines and good publication practices.
• Strong command of English grammar; AMA style familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Leads the completion of complex medical writing deliverables with clear and accurate scientific content.
• Manages writing activities across studies, defines document strategy and coordinates edits.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and templates; meets timelines and budgets.
• Mentors less experienced writers and serves as technical SME for internal materials.
