Jobtailor in Bordeaux is seeking a Manual Functional QA Tester to ensure software quality. You will design and execute test plans, perform functional, regression and validation testing, and document defects.

You will work with developers and business stakeholders, perform data checks using SQL, analyze application logs, and participate in debugging to root cause issues before production.

Minimum of 5 years in manual testing and experience with defect-tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in manual functional QA testing.
• Proficiency in manual functional testing.
• Writing test scenarios and test plans/test suites.
• SQL queries for data verification and validation.
• Application log analysis.
• Debugging and investigation activities.
• Business acceptance/validation testing.
• Defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent).

Responsabilités

• Analyze business requirements and functional specifications.
• Design, write and maintain test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual functional, regression and validation test campaigns.
• Perform business acceptance testing to ensure developed features meet requirements.
• Identify, classify, document and track defects until they are resolved.
• Perform data checks using SQL queries.
• Analyze application logs to identify the root cause of malfunctions.
• Participate in debugging activities in collaboration with development teams.
• Monitor fixes and validate corrections before production deployment.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers and project managers to improve overall application quality.
