UNSW in Sydney is seeking a Senior Lecturer in the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences to lead interdisciplinary teaching and course delivery in SCIF1000 and SCIF1001. You will guide a team, design learning activities, and uphold teaching excellence across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Qualifications

• PhD in a biological, earth or environmental science discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
• Experience in teaching and learning design across undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Experience using educational technologies and online delivery methods.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
• Ability to lead inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching.
• Experience in curriculum development and improvement.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Commitment to UNSW aims, values and health & safety policies.

Responsabilités

• Lead the team delivering SCIF1000 and SCIF1001 and collaborate with other Science Faculty courses.
• Apply a defined teaching philosophy and reflective teaching practice.
• Conduct classes, assess learning achievements and support students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Design and develop learning activities, resources, and assessments at course/program level.
• Support learning progression with students and implement inclusive teaching aligned with EDI.
• Manage course administration as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance.
• Lead School meetings and seminars and contribute to School/Faculty committees.
• Collaborate with peers to develop teaching strategies and mentor staff.
• Demonstrate the Code of Conduct and Health & Safety policies.
