VIAVI Solutions in Saint-Étienne seeks a technical project leader to drive the design and validation of optical measurement modules, focusing on analog electronics and embedded boards. You will collaborate across mechanical, optical and software teams to ensure robust performance and specifications.
Requirements include an engineering degree in electronics, 5+ years in embedded board design, and fluency in French with at least B2 in English.

In a context of accelerating infrastructure deployment by hyperscalers for AI and cloud applications, and with the emergence of new transmission technologies such as hollow-core optical fibers and multi-core fibers, VIAVI Solutions is developing test and measurement instruments dedicated to these new use cases.
Within the R&D Department based in Saint-Étienne (60 people), you will report to the head of the “Analog & Optical Electronics” group. As a technical project leader, you will be responsible for the development of optical measurement modules, and more specifically the design of electronic boards (analog electronics), performance qualification, and specification validation. In the context of our applications, knowledge in the field of optical components used in fiber optic telecommunication networks and/or in the field of distributed fiber optic sensing (temperature, pressure, etc.) would be an asset.
