Harmattan AI seeks an Embedded Software Engineer (Multimedia) to lead Linux BSP video pipeline bring-up and sensor integration. You will work on CMOS/IR sensors, MIPI/CSI interfaces, and related driver work in a Linux environment, balancing desk-based and hands-on lab activities.

The role demands 5–10 years in embedded camera systems, strong debugging skills, and collaboration across hardware, optical and computer vision teams to deliver robust autonomous defense hardware.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of senior experience in embedded systems, focusing on camera video acquisition for Linux.
• Hands-on experience with CMOS/IR sensors and sensor integration.
• Proficiency with V4L2 and GStreamer for video pipeline management.

Responsabilités

• Expand and maintain Linux BSP capabilities with a focus on video pipeline architecture.
• Integrate CMOS and IR camera sensors via MIPI/CSI interfaces.
• Configure and debug drivers within the Linux kernel and chip ecosystems (NXP, NVIDIA, Qualcomm).
• Participate in hardware design reviews and validate designs through schematic review and debugging.
• Perform deep-system reverse engineering when documentation is incomplete for robust integration.
• Utilize V4L2 and GStreamer to achieve glitch-free video streams for downstream processing.
• Collaborate with optical, hardware and computer vision teams to meet algorithmic needs.
