Job summary

Socomec Sas is seeking a senior electronics design engineer to drive hardware architectures and ensure rigorous validation across international markets.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, define specifications, and oversee PCB design from concept to certification, working with suppliers and international partners. Fluency in English and French is required; a strong background in power electronics and EMC standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master's in Electronics, Embedded Systems or Power Electronics.
• At least 7 years of proven experience in electronics development.
• Expertise in industrial electronic systems design.
• Experience with EDA tools such as PADS Pro, Xpedition or equivalent.
• Professional English and French (minimum B2) for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer and marketing needs, conduct feasibility studies and risk analyses to define the technical direction of projects.
• Define hardware architectures, draft electronic specifications and ensure requirements traceability throughout the development process.
• Design electronic boards, produce schematics, oversee multilayer PCB routing and select components suited to the applications.
• Validate developed solutions through functional, EMC and electrical safety testing, as well as internal and external certification campaigns.
• Coordinate electronics activities and provide project expertise
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Electronics Design Office's methods, tools and standards to strengthen the team's technical excellence.
