Proton Technologies in Paris is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to own and scale CI/CD infrastructure while advancing security posture. Ideal candidates will have experience with Kubernetes, GitOps workflows, and a solid understanding of DevSecOps practices.

• Strong Kubernetes experience, including tuning and troubleshooting on-prem Linux systems under real load.
• Hands-on CI/CD background — GitLab CI specifically is a plus.

• Software development skills in Python, Golang, or Rust — enough to build and maintain tooling around infrastructure.
• Configuration management experience with Ansible and/or Terraform.
• A security mindset grounded in DevSecOps practices.
• The communication skills to work effectively across teams.

The team

The DevOps team builds, maintains and scales the developer tooling platform and infrastructure that hundreds of engineers at Proton rely on daily, across both on-premises and cloud environments. Security isn't an afterthought — it's a core constraint we design around.

What you will do

• Own and scale CI/CD infrastructure handling tens of thousands of jobs daily and growing — that means capacity planning, runner architecture, and making the platform reliable as load patterns shift in ways that don't follow simple rules
• Deepen our GitOps workflows built on ArgoCD, from day-to-day operational improvements to more structural work on how we manage cluster state across environments
• Advance our supply chain security posture — we've made deliberate investments in SAST and artifact attestation, and there's meaningful work ahead to see them through
• Troubleshoot hard infrastructure problems across network, application, and system layers — the kind where the answer isn't obvious and requires pulling on multiple threads at once

What we are looking for
